The Asian Financial Cooperation Association held a closed - door review meeting for the 2024 annual

To further improve the research service quality of the Asian Financial Cooperation Association (AFCA) and identify and support research projects with forward-looking and practical value, AFCA held the 2024 Annual Research Project Report Review Meeting both online and offline in Beijing on January 10, 2025. The meeting was chaired by Yang Liyu, the Executive Deputy Secretary-General of AFCA. Qi Jianming, the Secretary-General of AFCA, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Tang Li, the proposed Deputy Secretary-General, also attended the meeting. More than 30 people participated in the meeting, including six research project review experts, namely Zeng Xuewen, the Chief Economist of the Agricultural Bank of China; Chen Weidong, the Dean of the Bank of China Research Institute; Liu Yong, the former Chief Economist of the China Development Bank; Huang Zhiling, the former Chief Economist of China Construction Bank; Liu Hongzhong, a finance professor at Fudan University; and Wu Jianhang, the former equity supervisor of China Construction Bank, as well as representatives from seven lead and participating institutions of the research projects.

The venue of the offline meeting

After nearly a year, the lead and participating institutions of the seven research projects conducted studies on multiple topics in the Asian financial field, such as the industrial chain transfer in Southeast Asia and the development of the Asian offshore science and technology innovation bond market. At the meeting, the lead institutions of each project reported on the research results, and the review experts evaluated the project reports and put forward suggestions for modification and improvement. Based on this, they conducted a scoring review. Next, each research group will modify and improve the report content according to the review comments. AFCA will compile the seven project reports, print them into a booklet, and share it within the industry. In 2025, AFCA will continue to effectively improve the quality of project research, conduct in - depth discussions on the development trends and challenges of the Asian financial market, and provide important references for formulating more effective policies and measures in the future.
